Looking for a Line Cook to join our growing team! Must be experienced in a busy kitchen! Apple Street Kitchen is located in Tinton Falls, on a 1/4 acre organic garden and specializes in farm to table brunch and dinner as well as on and off premise catering events. We are searching for a passionate and talented line cook to join our team. Hours are great! Brunch Tuesday - Saturday. Dinner Thursday & Friday Nights.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food industry.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Must be willing to learn new skills and adapt to changing menus or dietary needs.
