Works under the direction of the Supervisor Support Services, but with minimal direct supervision, to perform clean linen distribution, linen stocking maintenance and soiled linen pick up in a safe and effective manner. This position also provides backup for the Courier position as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Delivers clean linen to customers. Picks up soiled linen from customers. Records quantities of clean linen delivered and/soiled linen pick up amounts as needed.
- Transports linen between the Laundry and the hospital buildings. Drives the organizations vehicles in a safe and lawful manner.
- Organizes and labels linen carts and stocking locations as needed.
- Maintains linen par levels.
- Communicates effectively to assure daily deliveries are complete and customer needs are met.
- Responds effectively to beeper calls as needed.
Required:
• High School Graduate or GED
Preferred:
• Previous Laundry / Linen delivery experience preferred but not necessary.
