Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
- Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Schedule and calendar court appearances, depositions, and meetings
- Prepare exhibits and trial binders for hearings and trials
- Assist with document production and e-discovery processes
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones and managing correspondence
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law and legal procedures
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to file documents accurately and efficiently
- Proficient in legal case management software
- Strong clerical skills, including typing, filing, and organizing documents
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents
- Proficient in conducting legal research using online databases and other resources
- Familiarity with document management systems for organizing and retrieving files
- Ability to assist attorneys in preparing for litigation and litigate cases effectively
- Experience with legal drafting, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
