The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for managing and overseeing all field operations of commercial construction projects in the Palm Beach/Ft Lauderdale area. This role will oversee the project from ground up through closeout. This includes foundations, cast-in-place concrete, block/masonry, structural steel, and framing. Projects range from industrial builds to self storage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities from start through completion
- Manage subcontractors, field crews, and daily site operations
- Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA standards
- Maintain project schedule and proactively address delays or conflicts
- Interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accuracy of work
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure structural integrity and workmanship standards
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to report progress and resolve issues
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as a Superintendent with a focus on Ground Up Commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of concrete, masonry, and structural systems
- Proven ability to manage schedules and subcontractors effectively
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Familiarity with South Florida building codes and inspection processes preferred
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
