Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Delivery Driver to safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers utilizing route planning technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service by promptly addressing any inquiries or concerns in a professional manner. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, ensuring that deliveries are made in a timely manner. The Deliver Driver will also be expected to handle heavy packages as necessary.
Duties
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial vehicle to deliver goods across designated routes
- Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling of heavy items and fragile goods
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently using route planning tools, maintaining punctuality
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers professionally and addressing their questions or concerns
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all deliveries accurately
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
- Proven delivery driver experience or similar roles involving route driving and customer interaction
- Ability to lift heavy packages regularly, demonstrating strength and stamina for heavy lifting and moving tasks
- Must be 21 years old to apply
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving, loading, unloading, and warehouse operations
- Ability to work independently, follow detailed instructions, and adapt to changing routes or schedules
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends as required.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
