```Duties:```
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed orders and established protocols
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Document medication administration and any observed changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure proper medication management and patient care
- Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines related to medication administration, including HIPAA compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records
```Qualifications:```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program
- Current certification as a Medication Aide
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare practices
- Experience in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, nursing home, or hospice care facility
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Cerner or similar platforms
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients and healthcare team members
Skills:
- Care for patients in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice care facilities
- Proficient in medication administration techniques and protocols
- Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare professionals
- Ability to take vital signs and monitor patient condition
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Cerner or similar platforms
