Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our multidisciplinary team. The QMHP will provide comprehensive mental health services, including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments utilizing diagnostic tools such as ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual needs.
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions addressing issues such as grief, trauma (PTSD), addiction, gender identity, chronic pain, and behavioral management.
- Implement crisis management strategies to ensure patient safety during acute episodes; perform crisis intervention as needed.
- Develop and document personalized treatment plans while maintaining HIPAA-compliant medical records and accurate medical documentation.
- Collaborate with medical professionals in settings involving hospital experience or outpatient clinics; participate in case management activities to coordinate care.
- Engage in research activities or data collection projects related to behavioral health or clinical research initiatives.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions when applicable; incorporate ICD coding into documentation processes.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities or special education needs; work with pediatric or geriatric populations as required.
- Maintain professional growth through ongoing training in psychopharmacology, social work practices, or specialized therapies such as grief counseling or addiction counseling.
Experience
- Prior experience in mental health counseling within inpatient or outpatient settings is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, or behavioral therapy.
- Experience working with children & family counseling, individuals with autism spectrum disorder, or those requiring special education services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA is essential.
- Background in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies is required.
- Previous involvement in clinical research or data collection projects related to mental health is a plus.
