American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level II trauma acute care facility.
-
Acute care hospital setting with a Level II trauma designation
-
Respiratory Therapy department covering all areas throughout the facility, including NICU, ICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac units
-
Patient population ranges from neonatal to geriatric
-
Equipment includes Airvo, PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, MR1, and V-60 Respironics ventilators

Epic EMR
-
Night shift, 12-hour shifts (1800–0630), 3x12s per week
-
Day shift hours also available (0600–1830)
-
Rotating every third weekend
-
Every third holiday required
-
3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
-
Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience
-
NICU experience required
-
Active RRT or CRT credential required
-
Active North Dakota state license required (pending licenses not accepted)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP

Epic EMR experience preferred

Ability to work independently, make clinical judgments, and collaborate closely with physicians

Driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

License required if applicable

Provide respiratory therapy services across all inpatient areas, including NICU, ICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac settings
-
RTs are respected across all disciplines and work within a supportive, friendly team environment

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
-
Candidates who are or have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
-
RTO requests of 7 or fewer days for the 13-week contract must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
