The Central Scheduler act as a liaison between physician's offices and facility for scheduling purposes to include but is not limited to all surgeries, laboratory, radiology, and cardiopulmonary procedures. Responsible for scheduling procedures, creating pre-admission paperwork, verifying insurance, determining insurance benefits, obtaining required authorizations and notifying patients of their financial responsibilities. Provides personal and financial counseling services and gathers patient information for in-patient, out-patient and emergency room patients in the functional areas of admission, discharges, payment planning insurance verification and emergency room treatment records.
