Summary
The Machine Specialist is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment to ensure optimal performance, product quality, and food safety. This role supports efficient line operations by monitoring machine functionality, performing basic maintenance, completing required documentation, and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. The Machine Specialist collaborates with team members to meet daily production goals and reports to the Team Lead and Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure consistent, efficient, and safe
operation throughout the shift.
- Perform basic equipment care and troubleshooting, including cleaning, lubrication,
and minor adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
- Promptly identify and report equipment issues or abnormalities to the Team Lead or
Maintenance team to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all equipment is operated in compliance with food safety, quality, and safety
standards, including GMPs and company policies.
- Complete required production and equipment documentation, including machine
checks, downtime logs, output boards, and quality verification forms.
- Collaborate with Inventory Specialists, Line Specialists, and other team members to
ensure product specifications are met and materials are used correctly.
- Support changeovers and line setups, ensuring equipment is properly configured
and ready for production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to a safe and efficient
production environment.
- Perform pre-operational equipment checks and participate in start-up verification
processes to ensure readiness before production begins.
- Participate in equipment-related root cause analysis (RCA) activities and assist with
corrective action implementation.
- Communicate effectively with the next shift during handovers, ensuring accurate
transfer of operational updates, equipment concerns, and work status.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed and as requested by leadership.

- Ensure clear communication so all workers remain informed on performance,
updates, and organizational changes.
- Support recruitment, learning, development, and succession planning within the
area of responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to read and write English
- 1–2 years of experience in a food manufacturing or production environment
preferred.
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
