American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 5 years of ER experience and Trauma Level II experience.

Hospital Emergency Department setting with Trauma Level II designation
-
Patient ratio of 1:4
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
-
Required to work every other weekend
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
Active CA RN license required
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA or ARC accepted)
-
Minimum 5 years of ER experience required
-
Trauma Level II hospital experience required
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
-
Skilled in interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
-
Experienced in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
-
Experienced with emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation
-
Skilled in procedural sedation administration and monitoring
-
Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and dysrhythmia management

Knowledgeable in isolation precautions/PPE and triage protocols
-
Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response
-
Manage patients requiring respiratory support, IV therapy, and central line care
-
Administer and monitor procedural sedation and emergency medications
-
Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
-
Returning employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler

Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract

Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
