Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble pizza dough, toppings, and sauces according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools efficiently and safely
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures are followed meticulously to maintain food safety standards
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to produce perfectly baked pizzas with consistent quality
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes and flavor combinations
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Support the team during peak hours by managing high-volume production without compromising quality or speed
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, especially within a restaurant or food industry setting; fine dining or catering experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food production methods
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen environment
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under pressure
- Experience with recipe adherence and meal preparation for large groups or high-volume production environments
- Excellent food handling skills combined with a passion for culinary arts and customer satisfaction
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating reliable food service skills and teamwork orientation
