Maintenance Technician
Location: Skilled Nursing Facility
Job Description
The primary purpose of your job is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement facility maintenance policies and procedures efficiently and cost-effectively to ensure resident safety and comfort
Follow all federal, state, and local maintenance compliance requirements
Implement monitoring systems for the maintenance department and make recommendations to ensure compliance
Notify supervisor when maintenance supplies are needed
Notify supervisor of equipment or facility areas that are in need of repair
Possess an understanding of general maintenance procedures
Perform maintenance and repair tasks according to facility policies and procedures
Follow all aspects of the facility safety program
Consistently work cooperatively with residents, resident representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants, and ancillary service providers
Perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor
