We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. This position involves a combination of custodial tasks, floor care, and general maintenance duties. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Carry out industrial cleaning tasks as needed to ensure safety and hygiene in the workplace.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies to ensure availability for ongoing tasks.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, including walkways and entrances.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is essential.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving equipment or supplies.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining facility appearance.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

Pay: $15.50 - $23.97 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 5 per week
