As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This role involves supporting staff and visitors with strong communication and customer service while contributing to a people-first team culture built on reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with entry procedures, directions, and/or general information while following site protocols.

Support staff, visitors, and/or members of the public with de-escalation, verbal intervention, and communication during challenging interactions, consistent with post orders and training.
Minimum Requirements:

A New York State Security Guard License is required.

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
