As a Registered Nurse on 3 North, you will practice at the top of your license in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment supported by a highly engaged interdisciplinary team. Patient safety, clinical excellence, and communication drive every shift.
In this role, you can expect to:
Provide holistic, evidence-based care to adult patients with complex acute medical conditions, including endocrine, infectious diseases, renal, and cardiology-related diagnoses
Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and care coordinators to ensure seamless care transitions
Benefit from dedicated free-floating charge nurses on every shift, providing real-time support, guidance, and operational oversight
What does an average day look like?
You begin by receiving a detailed handoff, reviewing your patients’ evolving care plans. Throughout the shift, you will balance scheduled treatments, medication management, and patient assessments with real-time clinical decision-making. You will engage frequently with your team, collaborating on patient progress and troubleshooting challenges. The pace is steady and dynamic, but the built-in support structure, including your charge nurse presence, helps ensure you are never working in isolation. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
