RN ICU (Critical Care) – 13 Week Travel/Local Contract
Location: Aurora, IL 60506
Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Shift: Night Shift | 7:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate
- Local Candidates (Within 50 Miles): $50/hour (Negotiable)
- Travel Candidates (Over 50 Miles): $56/hour (Negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based patient care in the ICU.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Administer and titrate IV medications and vasoactive drips according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor hemodynamic status and communicate significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
- Float between ICU and Telemetry as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Critical Care/ICU experience in an acute care hospital.
- Strong experience with:
- Cardiac rhythm/strip interpretation
- Titration of critical care drips
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Emergency response and critical patient management
- Ability to float between ICU and Telemetry units.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCRN Certification preferred.
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster preferred.
Pay: $50.00 - $56.00 per hour
