- Prepares for scheduled GI procedures , assuring that necessary equipment, instruments and supplies are available and ready for use.
- Scrubs all GI procedures and anticipates the needs of the surgeon and assists him/her as directed.
- Clean/Process all GI instruments
- Maintains sterility and infection control practices
High school diploma and successful completion of surgical tech school. MUST HAVE AT LEAST two years GI surgical tech experience. Candidates with SPD experience preferred. BLS certifications required.
