Duties:
- Drive safely along designated routes.
- Obey traffic laws, safety procedures, and transit regulations.
- Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations.
- Follow a specific timetable while on duty.
- Communicate with passengers and employers regarding delays or any issues along a route.
- Complete pre- and post- transport safety inspections daily, logging information as instructed.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications: * Ability to understand and carry out instructions, complete various forms and records accurately
- Must be a safe driver
- Ability to communicate with students and adults orally and in written form
- Reliable and dependable, with availability in the afternoon
- A personal demeanor that demonstrates empathy, industriousness, and kindness
- Unexpired Hawaii driver’s license
- Ability to meet state requirements for driving a 15-passenger van, including a physical exam and traffic abstract at our expense.
- Must obtain or have TB clearance within the past 12 months
All employees must successfully complete pre-hire requirements such as fingerprinting, background check, reference checks, TB clearance, sexual misconduct, mandated reporter and other safety trainings, and possess or become certified in first aid/AED/CPR training within 45 days of hire (at the school's expense and arrangement).

- Understanding and appreciation of single-gender school contexts, particularly an all-girls independent school
- Previous experience in transportation
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, bending kneeling, climbing for inspection
- Work is normally performed in a bus; may occasionally be outdoors
