Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational excellence of The Luxury Bed Collection, supporting multiple luxury retail showroom locations. This role ensures seamless inventory management, logistics coordination, order fulfillment, and customer support while maintaining the exceptional service standards expected of a luxury brand.
Unlike traditional retail, we operate in a low-volume, high-touch luxury environment where every product represents a significant investment and every customer interaction matters. Success in this role requires someone who enjoys staying busy, values organization and precision, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience from purchase through delivery.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing operations across multiple retail locations. Experience managing low-volume, high-value inventory within a luxury retail environment is highly desirable, where precision, inventory integrity, and white-glove service are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory across multiple showroom and warehouse locations.
- Manage a low-volume, high-touch inventory model, ensuring meticulous accuracy and accountability for high-value luxury products.
- Perform routine cycle counts and lead bi-annual physical inventory counts.
- Receive, inspect, and reconcile incoming shipments against purchase orders and vendor invoices.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively reorder products and operational supplies.
- Maintain inventory integrity and resolve discrepancies.
- Administer and optimize Fishbowl Inventory Management software.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between showroom locations to meet customer demand.
Logistics & Fulfillment
- Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries with white-glove delivery partners.
- Schedule and manage shipments through FedEx, courier services, and national freight carriers.
- Track customer orders from purchase through final delivery.
- Coordinate special deliveries, showroom transfers, and installation schedules.
- Manage freight claims, damaged merchandise, and shipping discrepancies with carriers and vendors.
- Ensure all deliveries are executed with the professionalism expected of a luxury brand.
Multi-Location Retail Operations
- Support inventory, logistics, and operational consistency across multiple showroom locations.
- Standardize operational procedures and best practices across all stores.
- Partner with showroom managers and sales teams to ensure inventory visibility and operational execution.
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service.
- Ensure all locations adhere to company operational standards and procedures.
Customer Experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery questions and operational customer concerns.
- Resolve shipping, delivery, and product claims in a timely, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer journey from purchase through installation.
- Maintain the high-touch, personalized service standards expected by luxury clientele.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain accurate inventory and operational reporting.
- Develop and improve operational processes that increase efficiency while preserving service quality.
- Support implementation and ongoing management of operational technologies and procedures.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and operational best practices.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in operations, inventory management, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Experience supporting multi-location retail operations is highly preferred.
- Experience managing low-volume, high-value inventory in luxury retail, furniture, interior design, home furnishings, or similar industries is strongly preferred.
- Experience with inventory management systems (Fishbowl preferred; ERP/WMS experience considered).
- Strong understanding of shipping, freight, warehouse operations, and logistics.
- Experience coordinating with national trucking companies, white-glove delivery providers, and third-party logistics partners.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with outstanding attention to detail.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a consistently busy, detail-oriented environment without compromising accuracy or the exceptional customer experience our luxury brand is known for.

- Build strong relationships with vendors, freight partners, and internal teams.
