DOUGH MAKER JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
The Dough Maker works productively as part of the restaurant team and performs their job responsibilities in such a way that all dough products are prepared according to Little Caesars standards. The Dough Maker ensures that fresh dough is consistently available, prepared accurately, and meets all quality expectations to support daily operations and provide an excellent guest experience.
PERFORMANCE RESULTS
- Prepares high-quality dough products by following Little Caesars recipes, specifications, and procedures as described in the CARDS materials, station job helpers, and management instructions.
- Accurately measures, mixes, portions, presses, and stores dough to maintain product consistency and quality standards.
- Completes daily dough production schedules to ensure adequate inventory levels based on business needs.
- Properly labels, dates, rotates, and stores all dough products using established food safety procedures.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the dough preparation area, walk-in cooler, storage areas, and all assigned workstations.
- Operates dough-making equipment safely and correctly, including mixers, sheeters, dough presses, scales, and related tools.
- Assists with inventory counts and reports shortages or product concerns to management.
- Follows all food safety, sanitation, security, and safety procedures established by Little Caesars and government agencies.
- Displays the proper image as outlined in the Little Caesars Orientation and Training Handbook and/or as directed by management.
- Works cooperatively with team members and management to support restaurant operations and achieve performance goals.
- Follows Little Caesars policies, procedures, and standards of conduct as outlined in the Little Caesars Orientation and Training Handbook and/or as directed by management.
NATURE & SCOPE
The Dough Maker receives direction from the restaurant management team and Little Caesars training materials to effectively perform their job duties. This position requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work independently while maintaining production schedules.
The Dough Maker may assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed and is expected to support the team during periods of high business volume. Due to the nature of the business, schedules will vary according to operational needs, and no guarantee of hours can be made.
This position requires physical work including lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, and standing for extended periods of time.

TASK ANALYSIS
Due to the active role the Dough Maker plays, this position requires:
- The ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds.
- The ability to reach and move items from as high as six feet and as low as six inches off the ground.
- The ability to safely operate and utilize equipment including mixers, dough presses, sheeters, scales, dough cutters, dough trays, pan grippers, and other kitchen equipment.
- The ability to measure, weigh, portion, and prepare ingredients accurately.
- The ability to apply pressure while handling dough and cleaning equipment.
- The ability to count, separate, and weigh food products and inventory items.
- The ability to communicate effectively with managers and co-workers through reading, speaking, hearing, and writing.
- The ability to understand and follow directions, production schedules, and product specifications.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- The ability to perform cleaning and sanitation procedures throughout the shift.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Dependable, hardworking, and able to handle pressure situations and stress.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a positive attitude toward others.
- Ability to understand and follow directions and instructions.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Previous food preparation, restaurant, bakery, or dough production experience preferred but not required.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide documentation required by the U.S. Department of Justice (INS Division).
