Position Summary
Barks & Bows Grooming & Bathing Boutique is dedicated to delivering a warm, spa-quality experience for pets and their owners. We are seeking a skilled, compassionate dog groomer who can provide exceptional grooming services while maintaining our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-service grooming including bathing, brushing, blow-drying, haircuts, de-shedding, nail trimming/grinding, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims.
- Assess each pet’s coat, skin, temperament, and grooming needs; communicate recommendations to clients.
- Maintain a calm, safe, and positive environment for pets of all sizes and temperaments.
- Follow all safety protocols for handling, equipment use, and sanitation.
- Maintain grooming equipment and workstations in clean, organized condition.
- Document grooming notes, special instructions, and pet behavior in the salon system.
- Build strong relationships with clients through warm, professional communication.
- Collaborate with team members and ownership to ensure smooth daily operations.

- Follow all grooming SOPs, safety guidelines, and cleanliness standards.
- Maintain punctuality, reliability, and professionalism.
- Provide compassionate care and patience with anxious or senior pets.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
Qualifications
- 2-5+ years of professional grooming experience preferred (or grooming school certification).
- Ability to groom dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and coat care.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and passion for animals.

Notes
- Groomers will provide their own grooming supplies and ensure that they are kept in working order.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
