We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Functional Medicine MD, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner to join our innovative healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and vital signs to inform personalized treatment strategies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing functional medicine techniques, including nutritional counseling, supplementation, and lifestyle coaching.
- Administer injections such as Botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers, ensuring proper aseptic technique and patient safety.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions by utilizing diagnostic evaluation skills, including laboratory analysis, medical imaging review, and symptom triage.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on clinical research projects and clinical trials to advance evidence-based practices in functional medicine.
- Educate patients on health management strategies, including pain management, nutrition, detoxification protocols, and preventive care measures.
Requirements
- Valid medical license as an MD (Doctor of Medicine), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) with current certification to practice in your state.
- Proven experience in functional medicine or integrative healthcare settings; hospital experience preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; telehealth experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for billing and documentation purposes.
- Experience administering injections (including Botox or dermal fillers), performing physical examinations, and managing acute pain or urgent care cases.
- Critical care experience or hospital-based practice involving ICU or emergency room settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, airway management, and basic life support (BLS).
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques necessary for outpatient procedures.
- Strong data collection and management skills for clinical research or quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with a focus on holistic health optimization; familiarity with health coaching techniques is advantageous. Pay: $71,733.74 - $175,000.00 per year
