We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at the Courtyard by Marriott Chino Hills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
This position is responsible for supervising the daily housekeeping operation, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet Marriott brand standards, coaching team members, and maintaining a positive, productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping department.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are consistently met.
- Train, coach, and motivate housekeeping team members to achieve high performance.
- Assist with scheduling, room assignments, and daily work allocation.
- Monitor productivity and ensure rooms are cleaned efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Assist with cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and laundry operations during high occupancy, staffing shortages, or as business demands require.
- Lead by example by working alongside the team to maintain Marriott brand standards.
- Maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory; report ordering needs.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and resolve service issues.
- Work closely with the Front Desk and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel housekeeping supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a branded hotel is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to train, coach, and hold team members accountable.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
