- Being be efficient in scanning and packing groceries in a timely manner..
- Skilled in cash register operations and accurate change calculation.
- Being friendly and professional, and responding quickly to customer and associate needs.
- Must be able to give the customer in front of them their full attention and not be flustered by a long line
- Ensuring merchandise is accurately received, stocked, and replenished in check out area.
- Must follow FIFO procedures.
- Following proper lifting guidelines to ensure safe moving and placement of merchandise.
The Cashier/Sales Associate plays a critical role in creating the customer’s final impression of our store. As the last team member a customer interacts with before leaving, this position must provide the highest level of customer service, professionalism, and attentiveness. The experience at checkout is often what the customer remembers most when they leave the store, making this position essential to building customer loyalty and encouraging customers to return.
In addition to providing exceptional service at the register,Cashier/Sales Associate is responsible for making sure customers have found everything they need and assisting them with any questions or concerns. They must stay knowledgeable about the store’s weekly sales and promotions, which may change regularly, and ensure that all merchandise is being rung up accurately and that pricing and discounts are applied correctly.
This position also supports overall store operations and may be responsible for stocking and maintaining the sales floor. Candidates must be comfortable with physical aspects of the job, including the ability to lift at least 25 pounds and safely enter and work in cold/freezer areas throughout the day.The ideal candidate is friendly, attentive, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and committed to making every customer’s final interaction with our store a positive one.
