Position OverviewWarehouse Associate & Delivery Driver
Windy City Event Rentals is seeking dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused individuals to join our Operations Team as a Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver.
This position is responsible for preparing rental equipment, safely transporting inventory to and from event locations, professionally setting up and removing rental equipment, maintaining warehouse organization, and ensuring every customer receives exceptional service.
As a representative of Windy City Event Rentals, you will interact directly with clients, venues, and vendors while helping create unforgettable weddings, corporate events, film productions, festivals, and private celebrations throughout the Chicagoland area.

Primary ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Prepare customer orders using packing lists and event worksheets.
- Pull, inspect, clean, and organize rental inventory.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Verify all equipment before departure and upon return.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and report damaged or missing equipment.
- Clean, sanitize, and inspect rental equipment after every event.
- Organize warehouse shelving and storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization.
- Perform routine maintenance on rental equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
Delivery & Driving Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles throughout the Chicagoland area.
- Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes.
- Deliver rental equipment on time while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport.
- Complete delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures when required.
- Communicate delivery updates with dispatch and office staff.
- Report vehicle maintenance issues immediately.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Assist teammates with deliveries and installations.
Event Setup & Installation
- Professionally set up rental equipment according to event layouts and customer specifications.
- Assemble and position tables, chairs, linens, tents, staging, dance floors, pipe and drape, lounge furniture, arches, backdrops, and décor.
- Install ceremony seating and reception layouts.
- Hang draping, lighting, and decorative elements when required.
- Place linens and table coverings neatly and professionally.
- Arrange furniture according to event floor plans.
- Ensure all equipment is level, secure, clean, and presentation-ready.
- Perform final walkthroughs before leaving each event.
- Make minor adjustments requested by clients or event coordinators.
Event Breakdown
- Return to event sites for scheduled equipment removal.
- Carefully disassemble rental equipment.
- Fold linens properly for return processing.
- Inspect equipment for damage before loading.
- Load trucks efficiently for transport back to the warehouse.
- Leave venues clean and free of rental materials.
- Verify all rental items have been collected before departing.
Customer Service
- Represent Windy City Event Rentals with professionalism and courtesy.
- Communicate respectfully with clients, venue staff, wedding planners, and vendors.
- Address customer concerns professionally and notify management of any issues.
- Maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Provide excellent service during every delivery and installation.
