American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT certification for a role requiring scrub and travel experience.

Work in the Interventional Radiology department performing special procedures
-
4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
-
Rotating weekends and on-call required with a 30-minute response time
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
Utilizes fluoroscopy, computed tomography, ultrasound, GE Innova IGS, and Siemens equipment
-
Performs vascular, genitourinary, neurological, and abdominal/pelvic procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, chemoembolization, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required (candidates with 1 year experience considered if neuro IR and scrub experience are present)

ARRT-R certification required, ARRT-VI preferred

Current BLS required, ACLS preferred

Scrub experience required

Prior travel experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Skilled in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular closure systems
-
Must be able to prep access sites, monitor patients, and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
-
License required if applicable

Responsibilities include equipment set up, EKG lead placement, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field during procedures
-
May be assigned to an emergency response team during declared emergency events, with expectations to remain onsite or serve as part of a relief team

Orientation is held five days a week

Facility does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live more than 65 miles from the facility

Candidates must apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing

Compact or LA license required at time of submission

RTO must be disclosed and finalized prior to interview to avoid offer complications

Former Ochsner Health permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation before returning as a travel candidate

Lead tech experience is a plus
