A warm, active, and nature-loving family is seeking an experienced, reliable nanny to care for their children while assisting with their homeschool education on their beautiful 100-acre farm. This is a wonderful opportunity for a caregiver who enjoys slowing down, embracing the outdoors, and creating meaningful learning experiences through exploration, play, and adventure.
The family spends much of their free time hiking, paddle boarding, canoeing, camping, fishing, and enjoying everything nature has to offer. They are looking for a nanny who shares those values and is excited to encourage curiosity, independence, and confidence through hands-on experiences both at home and in the community.
The parents describe their parenting style as firm but kind and hope to find someone who will naturally complement that approach. They value reliability, consistency, and a caregiver who genuinely enjoys spending time outside and helping children discover the world around them.
About the Role
Your primary responsibility will be providing attentive, engaging care while supporting the children's homeschool routine and encouraging learning through everyday experiences. The family welcomes their nanny to take the children on outings to nearby parks, hiking trails, libraries, museums, and other educational destinations. There are no household management or housekeeping responsibilities, allowing the nanny to focus entirely on the children.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for the children.
- Assist with homeschooling and educational activities.
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences through play, crafts, reading, and outdoor exploration.
- Take the children on outings to parks, hiking trails, libraries, museums, playgroups, and other local activities.
- Encourage independence, creativity, and social-emotional development.
- Maintain open communication with the parents regarding daily activities and progress.
- Follow established routines while creating a fun, safe, and enriching environment.
Ideal Candidate
- Professional nanny experience required.
- Experience with homeschooling, teaching, or early childhood education is highly preferred.
- Loves spending time outdoors in every season.
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working on a rural farm property with family pets and farm animals nearby.
- CPR certified (or willing to obtain certification).
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Looking for a long-term position with a wonderful family.
