American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position at a Level III Perinatal center requiring 3 years of experience and WA or compact RN licensure.

Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a Level III Perinatal center with a Level IV NICU regional center
-
Care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients, with approximately 70% of patients considered complex high risk
-
Approximately 150 births per month
-
1:1 patient ratios
-
Unit includes 2 operating rooms for C-sections, BTLs, and PP D&Cs
-
Second L&D RN role available as baby catcher for well, non-compromised babies
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Weekend requirement

No call requirements
-
Floating within the hospital required, but not to sister hospitals
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
Active WA or compact RN license required, pending license not accepted

BLS and NRP certifications required
-
AWHONN Intermediate, EFM Certification, FHM, and NCC certifications preferred

Minimum 3 years of L&D nursing experience required

Epic charting experience required
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred

Experience with high-risk antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum care
-
Skills in fetal monitoring, high-risk delivery assistance, and neonatal care in the delivery room required

COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
-
Prior UW staff must have 18 months separation before returning as a traveler
-
Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn populations in a high-acuity perinatal environment

Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation, and postpartum surgical procedures
-
Support neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and thermoregulation
-
Facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
-
Scrubs of any color accepted, with scrubs provided for OR personnel
-
Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate

RTO limited to a maximum of 1 week, with no time off accommodated during the first 2 weeks of orientation
