Patient Care Manager- Interventional Radiology

BronxCare has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Leader who has the skillset and leadership experience to oversee Interventional Radiology (IR) unit. We are seeking someone with the ability and experience to oversee patient flow through designated clinical areas. The Nurse Manager will need to ensure nursing guidelines are maintained by writing and updating policies and procedures. Maintains nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
As an I.R. Patient Care Manager, you will have the opportunity to oversee the nursing staff who will provide care for patients in the during the following procedures:
Percutaneous Biopsy
L.E. Angiogram/Arteriograms
Epidural Under Fluoroscopy
Embolectomy
Implanted Port
GI Bleed/PVA
Moderate Sedation
Hysterosalpingogram
Responsibilities: Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Assess patient care requirements in each unit by making rounds in all patient care units. Develop and implement staffing plan for shift based on patient acuity, patient census and available staff. Serve as a resource to staff for solving clinical problems. Assist staff to efficiently utilize staffing resources to meet patient care requirements and other professional responsibilities. Respond to emergency situations and provides assistance as necessary. Act as a resource in identifying and/or solving administrative/operational problems. Work collaboratively with nursing and ancillary staff to solve problems in a fair, consistent manner
Requirements
- New York State Registered Nurse License
- New York State Registered Nurse Registration
- College Degree-BSN required MSN-preferred
- BLS from American Heart Association
- Minimum of three years of recent acute care RN experience
- Leadership experience required
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communications skills
