Brim's Snack Foods has openings for skilled Machine Operators on 1st & 2nd Shift.
Previous experience working in food manufacturing and/or working with packaging machine equipment is a plus! Pay rates are dependent upon shift and relevant work experience.
(Please note that 1st & 2nd shift operators work 12 hours per day, 4 -5 days per week.)
Summary of Position:
· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, follows Company policies for worker safety and food safety.
· Is familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform essential job.
· Prepares slurry batches.
· Checks moisture and coverage.
· Set-up machines and clean parts for the extruder and popcorn machinery.
· Uses all slurry before shutting machine down.
· Completes all required food safety and production-related documentation throughout every shift by utilizing RedZone. All documentation and RedZone checks must be completed within the specified time frames.
· Helps to ensure food safety and quality of all products.
· Removes all trash from work area at the end of shift.
· Ability to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up and operations.
Skills & Abilities:
· Must have the ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
· Must have the ability to read instructions and use simple math on an eighth-grade level
· Must be able to use basic hand-held measuring tools
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year factory-related experience as an Operator.
- Bagger / packaging machine operator experience preferred
- Forklift License preferred but not required
