Position Title: Program Coordinator
Location: Manchester, NH (Hybrid schedule available)

Salary Type: Hourly
Compensation: $24/hour | Part-time, up to 20-30 hours/week | Occasional evenings and weekends required
Organization Overview
Breathe New Hampshire is a statewide nonprofit public health organization dedicated to eliminating lung disease and improving the lives of those affected by respiratory conditions. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, we address critical lung health issues including asthma, COPD, youth vaping, air quality, and the health impacts of extreme weather events.
Position Summary
The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering Breathe NH's educational and public health programs, with the majority of work focused in Strafford County and surrounding communities. This position builds and strengthens local partnerships, delivers community-based education, and expands access to respiratory health resources. While the primary service area is Strafford County, the coordinator may occasionally support statewide initiatives and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement health education programs, with a primary focus in Strafford County and neighboring communities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local schools, healthcare professionals, community-based organizations, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
- Deliver and customize educational programs on topics including asthma, COPD, youth vaping prevention, tobacco use disorder, and environmental health to meet community needs.
- Support outreach, marketing, and community engagement efforts to increase awareness of Breathe NH programs and services.
- Assist in developing educational materials, presentations, and training resources.
- Track program participation, collect evaluation data, and provide feedback to support continuous program improvement.
- Represent Breathe NH at community meetings, health fairs, and other outreach activities.
- Collaborate with staff on statewide initiatives and provide support for organization-wide programs and events as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, human services, or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in program coordination, community outreach, health education, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.
- Knowledge of respiratory health issues is a plus.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable engaging diverse populations.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly throughout Strafford County and surrounding communities, with occasional travel to other areas of New Hampshire.
- Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for community programs and events.
