The Associate Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for routine operations of the Accounts Payable function and other special projects at the request of financial management.
The following Accounts Payable Operations will be performed:
- Enter invoices and credit memos into SAP that cannot be processed through automation.
- Execute daily payment runs.
- Perform vendor account reconciliations.
- Respond to vendor and internal customer inquiries and resolve invoice- and payment-related issues.
- Work directly with Mizuho Bank to investigate questionable payments and assist management in determining whether payments should be processed or rejected.
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist the Associate Manager with day-to-day operational problem solving and issue resolution.
- Review system output and perform analyses to support management's review and approval.
- Review employee expense reports in Concur for compliance with Company Travel & Expense policies.
- Develop an understanding of SAP financial configuration and system integrations.
- Partner with IT and system support teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as requested.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), system implementations, upgrades, and other special projects
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One or more years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system preferred.
- Experience with Concur or other expense management systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
