Job Summary
Pleasant Point Inn is hiring a breakfast and line cook to join our culinary team, responsible for preparing a simple continental breakfast 2 days per week, prepping menu items for dinner service and working 2 nights per week on the line, likely Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Some private event work required in addition to breakfast and dinner.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast items and other menu offerings according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment including grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pans, and food production appliances safely and efficiently
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist with ingredient and menu item preparation to support daily service needs
- Execute food handling protocols with attention to detail, including proper knife skills, portion control, and food presentation
- Support high-volume production while adhering to recipe consistency and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members during meal preparation, catering events, and service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow food safety management practices, including proper storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures
- Contribute to a positive team environment by serving guests with professionalism and enthusiasm
Experience
- Proven food service experience in a restaurant or catering setting with fine dining exposure highly desirable
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience in high-volume production environments with a focus on consistency and quality control
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and food handling regulations
- Strong knife skills combined with experience in recipe adherence and meal preparation
- Background in catering or serving in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
