Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and replace automotive parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized heavy equipment mechanics tools.
- Work on complex systems including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, diesel engines, and auto body repairs when necessary.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and vehicle status.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, electrical systems, and powertrain components.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with auto estimating software is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of ADAS technology and auto electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
- Valid certification or license in automotive repair or diesel mechanics is preferred; ongoing training or certifications are encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
