Overview
EZDOZIT Electrical LLC is seeking a detail‑driven Part‑Time Electrical Estimator to support our growing workload across residential, commercial, and light industrial projects. This role is central to our bidding process—your accuracy, organization, and ability to interpret electrical plans will directly influence project success and profitability. You will work closely with project managers, field leadership, and vendors to prepare competitive, code‑aligned estimates that reflect EZDOZIT’s commitment to doing it right the first time.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced contracting environment, understands electrical construction, and enjoys the technical side of takeoffs and bid preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate material and labor estimates
- Perform detailed takeoffs using Vision InfoSoft, , and other estimating tools
- Analyze project scope, identify value‑engineering opportunities, and ensure estimates align with NEC requirements
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive material pricing
- Support subcontractor outreach, qualification, and pricing review when applicable
- Prepare bid packages, proposals, and supporting documentation for leadership review
- Assist project managers with cost tracking, budget updates, and change order pricing
- Maintain organized estimate files, historical cost data, and project documentation
- Participate in occasional site visits to validate scope and field conditions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical estimating or electrical field work with strong blueprint reading skills
- Proficiency with Vision InfoSoft and/or similar estimating software
- Solid understanding of electrical construction processes, NEC standards, and scope development
- Strong analytical skills for labor units, material counts, and cost breakdowns
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors, clients, and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
- Hands‑on electrical or construction experience preferred (field or office)
