Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, elevators, and other building infrastructure.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to accurately diagnose problems and document maintenance activities.
- Conduct residential painting, welding, and other carpentry tasks to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to assess electrical circuits and components.
- Supervise or assist with projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for building automation systems.
- Lead or support facilities maintenance teams by supervising work orders, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with guest services staff to address maintenance requests promptly while minimizing disruptions to guests’ experience.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in welding, carpentry (including residential painting), and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and CMMS software for efficient diagnostics and record keeping.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters confidently for electrical assessments.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document issues and collaborate with team members.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance or manufacturing setting is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, or in confined spaces as needed.
