Job Summary
The Assembly Line Worker is responsible for assembling components and subassemblies used in the production of commercial vehicle bodies. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to meet production goals while maintaining quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble parts and components according to work instructions, blueprints, and production specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Install components such as panels, doors, wiring, hardware, and structural parts as required.
- Perform visual inspections and quality checks to ensure assemblies meet company standards.
- Identify and report defects, missing parts, or assembly issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and tools.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production and quality goals.
- Assist with rework or repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read basic work instructions and blueprints.
- Experience using hand and power tools preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and industrial equipment.
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
