Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Support Specialist to join our Credit & Risk team. In this role, you will provide key support throughout the commercial credit underwriting process, helping to verify, analyze, and organize financial and credit information for commercial equipment finance transactions.
Working closely with Credit Officers and under the guidance of the Vice President of Credit & Risk, your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in ensuring that credit packages are complete, accurate, and compliant with the Company's underwriting policies, Risk Acceptance Criteria (RAC), and applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the review and analysis of customer financial statements, bank statements, credit reports, and additional supporting documentation.
- Conduct preliminary underwriting of credit applications under supervision.
- Perform collateral valuations using industry market data.
- Help prepare credit write-ups, ensuring all necessary information is gathered and presented clearly.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Credit Policy and internal documentation standards.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM platform (Salesforce / AURORA).
- Support Relationship Managers with information gathering and customer follow-up.
- Participate in training sessions and credit meetings to build credit acumen.
- Support the Credit Department in data analysis and monitoring of key performance indicators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a financial services environment, preferably in credit analysis, underwriting support, or a related lending role.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and ratios.
- Basic understanding of credit principles, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, AURORA) for record keeping and information management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive company and customer information.
- Eagerness to learn and develop credit acumen.
