Job Summary
We are seeking entry level and skilled Cable Installers and lead technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication systems, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. Experience This role requires a solid understanding of network installation and cabling techniques, as well as proficiency in using various hand tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling systems for telecommunication networks.
- Perform fiber splicing and ensure proper connections for optimal network performance.
- Set up and configure Cisco routers and other networking devices to facilitate seamless connectivity.
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose and resolve issues related to network performance.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment such as ohmmeters to perform electrical tests and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently while adhering to project timelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and service calls for record-keeping purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cable installation or related field service roles within the telecommunications industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with low voltage systems effectively.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts, Ethernet technology, and telephony systems is essential.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using hand tools necessary for installation tasks.
