Job Overview
We are a Fedex Contractor, seeking a motivated CDL Class A Driver to join our team for linehaul runs, offering the benefit of being home daily. This role involves operating tractor-trailers hauling primarily doubles to transport freight over dedicated lanes, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. All deliveries and pickups are no touch freight.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions on dedicated linehaul routes
- Ability to haul Doubles trailers, and work 3rd shift overnight runs
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records
- Follow all federal, state, and company safety policies during driving and loading activities
- Communicate effectively with managers regarding route updates or issues encountered during deliveries
