Duties
- Perform comprehensive floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate equipment and chemical agents to ensure spotless surfaces.
- Handle cleaning tasks efficiently, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitation of public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house spaces.
- Manage the safe handling and application of chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of all hotel areas by operating janitorial equipment and cleaning tools effectively.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by ensuring sanitation standards are met consistently across all areas.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or issues related to cleanliness or facilities, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary, ensuring safety for guests and staff during incidents or hazards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management, custodial work, or industrial cleaning environments.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to health and safety regulations, including understanding SDS documentation.
- Strong manual handling skills with physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is preferred.
- Previous experience in hospitality or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
