As an Sr R&O Maintenance Technician here at PIP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our industrial facility. You will be installing, repairing, and maintaining complex industrial machinery in a manufacturing setting, ensuring equipment functions properly through preventative maintenance and troubleshooting breakdowns by diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize production downtime; tasks include inspecting equipment, adjusting calibrations, replacing parts, fabrication, and following safety protocols to maintain a clean and operational work area. You will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to support the production process and contribute to the overall success of our operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, fabricate and repair mechanical systems including but not limited to: air compressors, pumps, motors, boilers, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, air cylinders, switches, tanks, vessels, pipes and valves.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they cause disruptions.
- Troubleshoot plant equipment problems and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints for both fabrication and troubleshooting.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong background in mechanical system and fabrication.
- Experience working in a multi-craft industrial manufacturing or similar environment with experience as an electrician, machinist, fabricator, pipefitter, welder, millwright, and or mechanic is required.
- Experience welding, cutting, grinding, using lathe machine, drill press, milling machine and other maintenance fabrication shop equipment is required.
WE VALUE
- Experience working on PLC programming and troubleshooting would be a plus. (Allen Bradley, HMIs.)
- Experience working as an electrician would be a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to use CMMS to perform PMs and report on plant issues.
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification would be a plus.
- Other industrial Maintenance backgrounds would be considered as well.
- Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance or any other technical certificate
- Preferred Ten (10) years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong background in mechanical system and fabrication.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
