Job Title: Middle School B Team Soccer CoachLocation: Winnisquam Middle SchoolDuration: August - NovemberPosition Type: Stipend PositionJob Description: Winnisquam Middle School is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role ofMiddle School B Team Soccer Coach for the upcoming season. This stipend position runs fromAugust through November and provides a unique opportunity to work with young athletes andcontribute to their development in soccer.Key Responsibilities: Coaching and Instruction: Plan, organize, and lead daily practice sessions for the Bteam. Develop and implement effective training programs that focus on skilldevelopment, teamwork, and game strategy. Game Preparation and Strategy: Prepare the team for games, including strategicplanning and player positioning.
Ensure that players understand their roles and gametactics. Player Development: Provide individual and team coaching to improve players'technical skills, physical conditioning, and understanding of the game. Foster asupportive and growth-oriented environment. Team Management: Create a positive team culture that encourages sportsmanship,respect, and cooperation.
Manage player behavior and address any conflicts that arise. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all practices and games adhere to safety standardsand school policies. Conduct regular equipment checks and enforce proper use. Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with players, parents, andschool administration.
Provide regular updates on team performance, game schedules,and any important information. Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative responsibilities such as managingattendance, coordinating practice and game schedules, and assisting with anynecessary paperwork. Season Wrap-Up: Help organize end-of-season activities and celebrations.Qualifications: Previous experience coaching soccer, preferably at the middle school or youth level. Solid understanding of soccer fundamentals, tactics, and rules.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and engageyoung athletes. Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and respectful team environment. NFHS Concussion in Sports certification, First Aid and CPR certification required; mustobtain certification prior to season beginning. Must pass a background check and adhere to all school and district policies regardingathletic programs.Compensation: This is a stipend position.
