Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Welder to join our team on a temporary basis with the potential for permanent placement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse fabrication projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and mechanical skills. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in metal fabrication, blueprint interpretation, and construction site experience, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, precision, and durability of our structural and mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and FCAW welding on various metals including sheet metal and armor plating according to project specifications.
- Operate equipment including band saws, chop saws, and other tools to fabricate metal components.
- Assemble structures by fitting and welding metal parts together according to specifications.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
- Perform rigging tasks safely using cranes and forklifts to move heavy materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- ONE PROFESSIONAL REFERNCE IS REQUIRED.
- Proven experience as a Welder in a construction or manufacturing environment is required.
- Proficiency in using various welding techniques, including Stick welding, MIG, and FCAW.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts for material handling is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Able to perform independently and create structures with no drawings due to a creative nature of the project.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy materials. Minimum of 60 pounds.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work while following safety guidelines.
