I. POSITION SUMMARY
The Barista position is responsible for creating an overall positive impression while consistently providing
an exceptional customer service experience for every guest in the most efficient and pleasant manner
possible according to hotel standards and standard operating procedures. To provide prompt, courteous
and professional service with all products served at all times. Maintain “Verve” quality service and Barista
standards. Insure that all guests leave satisfied with the intent on returning. Complete functions in
accordance with the standard operating procedures.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Adheres to the Dream Inn’s high standard of customer service while standing behind the service counter or moving throughout the outlet and exterior seating areas. Handles all hospitality transactions while standing and using continuous mobility throughout lobby.
2. Greets guests promptly, courteously and professionally, and in accordance with the time of day.
3. Welcomes and greets every guest providing prompt service.
4. Adheres to hotel service commitments presenting oneself in a professional manner at all times.
5. Discovers customer needs. Takes drink and food order from guests in a timely manner.
6. Prepare drinks to “Verve” Standard.
7. Prepares and set-ups workstation consistently, and in a timely manner.
8. Walks through the lobby at regular intervals and monitors the status of table cleanliness. Clears discarded items and wipes down tables and counters.
9. Maintains cleanliness of workstation.
10. Stocks and restocks food and beverage items in timely manner.
11. Follows proper cash handling and cash register procedures.
12. Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
13. Contributes to Hotel goals and financial performance.
14. Takes responsibility to learn all aspects of the barista position, recipes and standards.
15. Contributes to a safe work environment reporting and acting on any unsafe conditions.
16. Maintains equipment in like new condition. Follows all procedures for equipment use and maintenance. Reports any equipment issues to management or engineering.
17. Actively promotes hotel outlets and amenities.
III. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and appearance of the coffee cart areas, to include ensuring housekeeping tasks and general maintenance are in place to a high standard.

V. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not manage direct reports.
VI. POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a part-time position. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, they will be required to work a flexible schedule that meets business and operational demands. Thusly, their schedule will include weekends and holidays.
Pay: $23.04 per hour
