Responsibilities:
- Oversees significant electrical projects.
- Manages a team of technicians.
- Ensures adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- May participate in the design of electrical systems for new vessels.
Skills:
- Proficient in leadership and management, demonstrating a capacity to guide teams effectively.
- Possesses strong communication abilities, facilitating precise and concise exchanges of information.
- Expertise in strategic planning, ensuring the alignment of objectives with organizational goals.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, encompassing power management, alarm systems, monitoring, and generator configuration.
- In-depth knowledge of specific electrical systems, supplemented by robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in conducting comprehensive surveys and reports, focusing on electrical systems, lightning protection, power quality, corrosion, and related areas.
- Demonstrates project management expertise, overseeing initiatives from conception through execution.
- Skilled in researching and evaluating unfamiliar products for installation or diagnostic purposes.
- Extensive understanding of marine electrical systems and adherence to applicable standards.
Education/Experience:
- ABYC Advanced Electrical Certification
- ABYC Marine Corrosion Certification
- Minimum 20 years of experience
Environment:
- 80% of time spent onboard or driving to vessels in and out of water, primarily in local marinas or boatyards.
- 20% in the shop or office environment.
- Travel to domestic and international marinas and boatyards shall be required; however, the duration and location vary depending on the work.
- Some bending, stooping, and lifting weights to 75 lbs. should be expected.
- Non-climate-controlled and confined space environments should be expected.

- The salary range for this position is $40 to $50 per hour, contingent upon the level of proficiency demonstrated in the skills mentioned above and the individual's educational qualifications and relevant work experience.
