Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal production performance. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure. This includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
· Install new equipment and systems as required, including machinery, components, electrical wiring, and conduit.
· Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
· Fabricate equipment and functional parts.
· Perform general facilities maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing repairs, light grounds keeping.
· Tool room up keep and spare parts inventory.
· Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, preventative maintenance, and parts orders.
· Conduct routine maintenance on lift trucks.
Skills and Requirements
· 5+ years experience.
· Know and understand basic safety and use of power tools and equipment.
· Must be able to work well with other team members to achieve company goals.
· Must be able to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members, vendors, and contractors.
· Must have analytical and mathematical aptitude.
· Electrical and mechanical aptitude including PLC control systems, wiring systems, drives, pumps, motors, lighting and knowledge of 24V DC, 110V, 240V single phase, 480V three phase in a process driven manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge base in building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing and mechanical equipment maintenance including pneumatics and hydraulics.
· Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
· Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs.
· Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
· Able to fabricate metal equipment and functional parts.
· Ability to use oxy-acetate torches and welding units including MIG and arc welders.
· Ability to read and understand micrometers, tape measures, calipers and other measuring instruments.
· Able to multi-task and self-organize.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Able to install, service and rebuild pumps including fluid, diaphragm, progressive cavity and hydraulic pumps.
· Able to install, service and rebuild gear boxes, sprockets, bearings, belt drives and other energy transferring equipment.
· Follow written safety procedures.
· Regular and punctual attendance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 150 pounds with help. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Requires special safety precautions such as working around moving parts, machines or with irritant chemicals; employees are required to use protective clothing or gear.
This position requires moderate physical exertion.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time, non-exempt, hourly position and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 4pm with one hour for lunch. Occasional overtime may be needed.
Education Requirements
· Experience in web handling, coating and/or slitting a plus
· High school diploma/GED minimum
· Fork lift certification a plus
· Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
· Any certification pertaining to electrical, building, and machinery maintenance is a plus
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
