Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual care and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers, addressing their unique spiritual needs and concerns.
- Offer bereavement support to families before and after a patient’s passing, guiding them through grief with compassion and understanding.
- Lead religious services, prayer sessions, or memorial events that offer comfort and community connection.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate spiritual care into overall patient treatment plans.
- Facilitate crisis intervention when patients or families experience emotional distress or spiritual crises.
- Develop and deliver educational presentations or workshops on topics such as hospice care, grief management, or spiritual wellness.
- Mentor and train volunteers or new staff members in providing empathetic pastoral support and effective communication skills.
Experience
- Proven experience in hospice care or end-of-life spiritual counseling with a strong foundation in Christian counseling principles.
- Demonstrated ability in bereavement support, crisis intervention, and crisis management within healthcare or community settings.
- Skilled in public speaking, presentation delivery, event planning, and facilitating group discussions or workshops.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen actively, write clearly, and manage conflicts effectively.
- Leadership qualities that inspire trust, foster teamwork, and guide others through sensitive situations.
- Experience mentoring colleagues or volunteers in spiritual caregiving roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of crisis management techniques applicable to emotionally charged environments is preferred.

Pay: $23.41 - $28.20 per hour
