Nephrologist – Locum Tenens
Location: Minot, ND
Pay Rate: $260–$280/hour | $2,000–$2,200/24hr call | $400/call-back (Flexible and negotiable based on experience)
Assignment Type: Onsite, Full-Time Locum Coverage (Through January 2027 to start)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Plus Call Coverage for KDU and IP/ER
About the Opportunity
A hospital system is seeking a Board Certified Nephrologist to provide full-time locum coverage in Minot, ND, supporting inpatient, outpatient, and KDU (Kidney Dialysis Unit) settings. This is an onsite assignment set to continue through January 2027 to start, with a standard Monday–Friday clinic schedule plus call coverage for KDU and inpatient/ER needs.
The role involves a mix of consults and follow-ups, with dedicated time blocked for inpatient rounding. New consults vary based on ED/call activity, and new clinic consults are limited based on need. The physician will be supported by a clinical team of RNs, LPNs, and FNPs.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-time nephrology coverage across inpatient, outpatient, and KDU settings
- Conduct new consults and follow-up visits in clinic
- Perform inpatient rounding with dedicated blocked time
- Provide call coverage for KDU and inpatient/ER needs
- Collaborate with support staff, including clinic RNs, LPNs, and FNPs
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Board Certified by ABIM required
- Active North Dakota state license required, or IMLC accepted
- Willingness to work onsite in Minot, ND
